This blog has moved!
I have moved Abigails blog over to Blogspot so here is the new address.
Super toddler!
Sean was playing with Abigail the other day and this is what I walked in on. She is sporting the space helmet lettuce bowl, Hawaiian bib as a cape and mickey mouse hands which Sean’s Mom found from when Sean was a little guy.

Super Toddler!

Off to save the day:)
The new table
Abigail is always wanting to sit at the desk with me and “type” on the computer so I went and got her own table and put it right next to mine. She likes to play with her puzzles on it, read books at it and when I am not looking stand on it!

She can get on the chairs pretty easily by herself.

Cool table Mama! I will explain the toilet paper later

Sturdy Ikea chairs strong enough for Dad.

I confess that I have hidden that particular book due to the CONSTANT demand that it be read
Visiting Dad
Abigail and I went to visit Sean at work the other week and he had gotten in this really neat Porshe for repair work. The day he HAD to test drive it he called me and told me how great it was to drive. It has been added to his dream garage

I would drive it!

Off to explore. Have you ever seen a garage with such clean floors?

Checkig out Dad's toolbox.

Time to go!
Nighttime Zoo
Every year for our anniversary Seans mom gives us some money and every year we renew our zoo passes. It is so nice having passes because we can go for a little while and then leave! They just finished building a new elephant exhibit called Elephant Odyssey and we went to go see it the other night.
We always seem to be at the zoo when it is mating time. Once we were on the top deck of the bus taking a tour and we stopped at a gazelle exhibit because one of them was giving birth. The top deck was all women for some reason except Sean and this man and his little boy. The little boy asked very clearly and loudly “What’s that thing coming out of its butt?” All the woman laughed very loud and the poor dad tried to answer but he was totally embarrassed! I am sure they had a very interesting conversation on the way home.

This things not real is it?

You can get pretty close to the elephants.

Too cute!
The newest artist in the family.
Abigail has started to color with crayons, that is when she is not trying to eat them! She is definatley right handed and very particular about her colors. Sorry Aunt Laura she does not like to color with green. For those of you who don’t know the art gene comes from the Ketchem side. Sean has is Bachelors in studio art from UCSD and his Grandmother does beautiful watercolors.

I think pink should be next.

This is the right spot.

The masterpiece is finished!
First time in the ocean.
A few weeks ago we had a BBQ at La Jolla shores. 10 of us went and we had a lot of fun! Abigail loves water so it was no surprise that when we went in the ocean for the first time she LOVED it! We had to hold her back from running straight in. At first she was excited and a little worried but that only lasted a minute or so. Sean took her out later and he took her out a little far for my taste but he assured me she was fine. It is a moms job to worry you know:)

Looking at all the people!

What is this stuff?

This is cold!

I think I like this:)

This stuff feels neat!

I want to go out further mom!

Sand everywhere!

Grandmas turn!
The balloon.
When we went out to lunch with Seans family a large group was having a birthday party and they gave Abigail one of the mylar balloons they had. She LOVED it
What could be better than a ball that floats! She carried that thing everywhere and she now knows what a balloon is. I was reading her Goodnight Moon and you tell the balloon in the book goodnight and she looked into the kitchen where the ballon was. The balloon has lived its life and will probably go in the trash soon but it was well loved.

Look at my balloon!

A floating ball!

Going for a walk.

You can drum on it and make neat sounds.

See my balloon!

That was a lot of playing!
Playing with Aunt Laura
Mom, Laura and Abigail went to the indoor playground since it has been so hot here and Abigail went in the ball pit for the first time. She LOVES balls. It is her favorite word, she can sign it and runs to find one when you ask her where her ball is and brings one to you. We have 4 or 5 balls of all sizes, colors and materials. If she sees a balloon she calls out “ball”. So here are a few pictures of their day at the playground.

Heaven!

What ball should I choose?

SO much fun:)

Auntie Laura what are we doing?

Okay this is fun!

Apparently this slide is very fast and caught them both by surprise! Abigail loved it
Lunch for Abigails Great Grandma K
